Core Team Chair I'm the man who has stepped into the commitment to make a local presence for Boys-to-Men amongst our Arizona community. My goals include establishing a business plan, incorporation, acquiring all necessary insurance and most importantly, ensuring Arizona's first successful Boys-to-Men initiation weekend. My sincere gratitude goes out to those who have walked before me on this path and to all of the wonderful men who have been providing your support for Boys-to-Men - thank you! Mentor
Coordinator As Mentor Coordinator I hold the energy of action for supporting men to become mentors to the boys that will experience the initiation weekend. The team of men that I lead will recruit, screen, enroll, and assemble the mentor group. I am responsible for the training of all mentors including the managing of their activities during the initiation weekend. I am also responsible for the leadership of the mentorship program for the year following the initiation weekend. I offer the gift of mentorship. Initiate
Coordinator/J-Group Coordinator As Initiate Coordinator, I am responsible for offering information to families about the Boys to Men program. Ideal enrollment for the initiation weekend involves 15 boys between 12-18. Age is not as much of a factor as is screening each individual candidtate to determine if Boys-to-Men is a good fit for the candidate. As J-Group Coordinator I hold the energy of action for supporting boys to continue their work in truth, love, spirit, and mission as Journeymen. I am responsible for leading the boys through 10 weeks of topic specific meetings and 16 weeks of continued support for the topics they choose to explore as a group of initiated Journeymen. I am responsible for a total of 26 meetings over the course of one year, meeting every other week or every 3rd week. Each meeting will be a careful balance of games, food, and mentoring activities. Community is always the underlying goal of each meeting. |
